Dunmar Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 HI, I recently purchased a green Heljan CL27 at a local show ( new ) and when I got home gave it a test run and found that the lights didn't work. I intend to fit a sound decoder and checked it out on DC first - still no joy. Rather than return to the retailer I decided to resolve the problem myself as I intend to fit a sound decoder. Having checked all the bulbs were working I used a tester to check the power from the sockets fitted to the circuit board - nothing ! Could the fault lie with the circuit board and should I go ahead and replace it - or am I missing something? Bill. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dunmar Posted July 31, 2013 Author Share Posted July 31, 2013 Hi, The fact that no-one has had a stab at this problem! probably means that I have more or less exhausted the probabilities! I therefore intend to replace the existing bulbs with the appropiate LED's and a resistor and power source - something I intended to do a long time ago to overcome the poor original lights. Bill.
