jetmorgan
I'm in the planning stage for a narrow gauge 0-16.5) railway and I'm looking to convert a number of the older Hornby 0-4-0 chassis's. Either keeping them as 0-4-0's or fitting some with leading and trailing bogies. Bodies will be scratchbuilt or converted from the bodies. I know that the motor in these chassis is more suited to racing cars, any ideas about a good inexpensive replacement?
Bruciethefish
There's nothing that would really be a direct replacement, but it would be worthwhile looking at the Mashima range to see if they have a flat can of similar dimesions;- a little bodging will probably be needed to mount it properly, however...
