David Bigcheeseplant
All the photo I have seen show black, athough some on the platforms may have been cream or light stone. David
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted January 10, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 10, 2010 I thought we'd been here recently (but can't find it in 'search' so might be wrong?). On platforms in 'pre-corporate' BR days it was often painted cream but elsewhere, and occasionally on platforms, it was black. I think the black was tar/bitumen based as it weathered down to matt very quickly, the cream was gloss paint but it also weathered down to matt. sn
Cheers! Having followed that link the answer seems to be all of the above! I think I quite fancy cream. Now I wonder what humbrol colours in my paint collection come close to matching that?
