RMweb Premium Shropshire Lad Posted August 11, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 11, 2013 Hi guys I'm fitting a Dietz sound module and want to synchronise the chuffs to the rod movement. I would need four magnets on a 30mm diameter wheel (LGB).Does anyone know if mini Neodymium strong magnets, as seen on Ebay, would do the job? Alternatively any alternative suggestions? Cheers Colin
Lady_Ava_Hay
I think you would do better to contact Herr Dietz direct and ask him to make recommendations for you. He does speak good English ( or he did when I contacted him some years back ) and the number of Dietz modules in the UK could probably be counted on the available digits in your household. I believe his website ( which is excellent by the way ) is on www.d-i-e-t-z.de. Again all from memory and not checked recently. To keep the forum informed I would be obliged if you could keep us up to date on this endeavour.
RMweb Premium Shropshire Lad Posted October 7, 2013 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 7, 2013 Well having not received a response from Dietz from my enquiry I had a play and can confirm that the mini magnets are very good for triggering hall effect sensors cleanly.
