hartleymartin
I want to make some O gauge tramway points (32mm gauge) with an 18" radius. However, I don't know how to use templot or any CAD drawings. Is anyone feeling generous with their time? I would need Left and Right hand points at 18" radius and a similar Wye point. RMweb Gold martin_wynne Posted August 22, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 22, 2013 Hi Martin. Attached below is a PDF file containing LH and RH 18" radius tramway turnouts. edit: Important: when printing this file from your PDF reader, be sure to set the page scaling to none. regards, Martin. (For Templot users, these are gaunt turnouts with the gaunt offset set to zero. Then adjust the V-crossing angle (F9) to give the required radius.) hartleymartin
THANKS! I can create the Wye by super-imposing the two print-outs of these together. If you're wondering, I found information that the minimum radius curve for Sydney Tramways on "Main Lines" was 60 feet and this may be reduced in yard areas (ie with restricted speed) to 47 feet. In scale, this would be 16.5" and 13" respectively.
