LNERGE
Mrs LNERGE and me have just had a short break away to celebrated our first year of marriage (and the impending arrival of twins). The plan was to simply drive about and take in the sights. On our travels we came across an old trackbed that could be clearly seen from the road. Mrs LNERGE passed comment that she could see ballast and clear signs of where sleepers had been. We followed the line as far as we could not getting out of the car but simply noting it's presence alongside the road. Once home i did a search on the net. I came up with this.. http://www.railbrit.co.uk/imageenlarge/imagecomplete.php?id=37001 Totally amazing seeing as the line was lifted over 100 years ago..
