Had a great weekend operating Oak Hill TMD at the show.

Our thanks to the organisers and all the visitors who came to make such good comments about the layout.

Although the layout had been out once before, this was its first 'real' show.

Couldn't have been too bad as we had two more potential invitations to shows.

Thanks again to the lads of the Worthing Club.

Well done Andy.

I think I'm correct in remembering that the 8 pin Chip comes with a round speaker attached and a plastic enclosure for it.

It's important to use the enclosure and seal ALL holes with blue tack so no sound can escape. You'll nee to extend the speaker wires (at the speaker end)

Take the tanks off the 33 and glue the three pieces together well.

Then cut away only just enough to seat the speaker in the larger part facing down, having drilled some holes for the sound to escape onto the track.

Will send a picture later.

Dave.

Hi Andy.

Here are picks of two installations in Class 33s.

First the round speaker. Need to route wires through a hole drilled in chassis.

Second in a 'narrow' loco where wires go up the side of the chassis.

This has a larger speaker.

What should be done is order from Howes, the 33/2 underframe tanks as they are narrower and are more correct for all 33s.

Best of luck. Why not post your experiences in the 'Sound' message board.

Cheers

Dave
