deeslexia
Just a thought, remember, all this is new to me. Corgi 4 wheel trams somehow seem too finished and shiny. My OO Feltham is superb though, more matt looking, maybe the enlarged scale has this effect ? Sometimes kit built or scratch built trams which I have seen on the internet seem more authentic . I am considering buying some cheap, around £5-6 trams of any livery and wiping out some of this nicely applied lining etc with a simple matt or satin paint job, then adding paint detail to platforms and plastic seating [ especially on open top trams] I guess that I will try one and decide if I prefer it. Does anyone have thoughts on this, whether railways/trams etc? Thanks dee
hartleymartin
If they are too shiney, a spray with matt varnish usually tones them done. However, I seem to recall that Trams would be kept in a fairly clean condition as they were primarily passenger-carrying vehicles and they didn't have the usual problem with smoke and soot.
