This update does not supersede much of the information contained in the book, 'Alex Jackson - The Man and the Coupling' but is intended to provide additional information to enable the modeller to make a more informed decision on their choice of automatic coupling. The book is still essential reading for those people wanting to understand fully the rudiments of the Coupling.
