RMweb Gold martin_wynne Posted October 6, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 6, 2013 Hi Terry, That's part of your browser, it is not part of RMweb (as you can tell from the scrollbar) -- try going to a different web site. Searching on a web page is usually CTRL+F, and very useful it is too. However, I think that one may be a separate plug-in or add-on called "Quick Find". Martin. RMweb Premium Flying Pig Posted October 6, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 6, 2013 It looks like a Firefox feature that automatically starts a search when you begin typing has been turned on. To turn it off, go to the Tools menu and select Options - you should see a window like the one below displayed. Now click Advanced (1) then General (2). Make sure the option "Search for text when I start typing" (3) is not ticked, then click OK. The search bar should no longer appear. If that doesn't work, some users have reported that the feature sometimes turns itself on even if the option is not selected. In this case, go to Options, select the option and click OK; then go back into Options and deselect it.
