RMweb Premium Shropshire Lad Posted October 14, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 14, 2013 Evening all I'm setting up the asymmetric braking distances on a MX632 and a MX645 decoder. I can't find how to set the braking distance when the engine is running backwards (push pull mode) in the manual. Do these decoders support different directional braking distance or am I missing something (quite likely) Cheers Colin
Nigelcliffe
I think there is only one setting for the distance, so there isn't a direction based setting. - Nigel
RMweb Premium Shropshire Lad Posted October 14, 2013 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 14, 2013 Thanks for that Nigel, not the end of the world but given the way Zimo decoder are so programmable I thought that would be an option.
ZiderHead
Are braking distances direction dependent?
RMweb Premium Shropshire Lad Posted October 14, 2013 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 14, 2013 Lenz and Loksound V4 decoders have this feature. It allows you to pull a train into a bay for example stopping the loco at the buffer stop or using the same braking point push the train into the same bay but stopping in a shorter space needed for the coaches.
