RMweb Gold Enterprisingwestern Posted November 29, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 29, 2017 Rotherwood hence Netherwood, a most evocative place, well, it was! The layout captures the ambience perfectly. Mike.
GWC1
Thanks for the comments. Rotherwood hence Netherwood, a most evocative place, well, it was! The layout captures the ambience perfectly. Mike. Netherwood has some more shows booked now (it doesn't get many invites ). Bookings are: Ruddington (GCR North): June 30 & July 1 2018 Aldershot: October 14 & 15 2018 Stafford: 1st weekend in Feb 2019.
RMweb Premium Dava Posted December 6, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 6, 2017 Excellent, see you at Ruddington & probably Stafford 2019. Also lobbying the Gauge 0 Guild for a 2nd invite to Guildex, you can't have too much of a good layout! Lancaster Green Ayre is going to be missed on the circuit and with Netherwood I can relive my spotter days from the 70's at Dinting [when not cleaning locos etc]! GWC1
Preparations are underway for the layout's next outing this coming weekend, 30 June & 1 July, at GCR(N) Ruddington. This hot weather is not great when working in the loft to break down the layout!
RMweb Premium Dava Posted June 25, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 25, 2018 Looking forward to Netherwood Sidings return to the GCR next weekend! Dava
GWC1
Netherwood's next outing is almost upon us. This weekend at Aldershot. A new feature fitted since the last show is visitor controls for the chip shop smoke and ice cream van jingle. We always try to operate these when kids are viewing the layout, but now they can operate them themselves!

GWC1
I haven't said much here for a while. Here is the latest arrival on Netherwood Sidings, working a Lincoln - Sheffield train. I described how I scratchbuilt the 2 car unit on the Gauge O Guild forum, and an article has been sent to the Gauge O Guild Gazette. 9 3
