I am wanting to add some of the wire extensions to the bottom of the coupling bars that i have seen some folk use as an auto uncoupler, in conjunction with a track magnet. I am only wanting to do this to a few wagons/coaches for yard & station areas. All of my locos have just the wire loop type coupling, so RTR stock just locks on when shunted up to. So the questions are : does the magnet sit at rail or sleeper level how long should the piece of wire be, that you stick to the bottom of the coupling bar. Just a Question of dimensions really.
