The 'Aberbeeg' layout at Nottingham were using LED Striplights and they passed this supplier on to me -

Could be an alternative to Maplin.

Interesting, thanks. Blog updated with a link. Suspect quite a few layouts will be Appearing with this type of lighting over the next few years.

Have been looking at some pics of New Hey taken in the Mid 60's and it appears that the sidings on both sides of the mainline had not had a visit from the weedkiller train. Also the wooden fencing appears to be getting weathered. Source of pics Newton Heath Engines at work 1948-1968, Paul Shackloth.

Great model but always had a feeling that the sidings were a little bit too manicured for the era. Always love seeing it in action it's just that the decay of the area was just beginning.

Can't wait to see Andy's next model.
