Peter Kazmierczak
Never really been into trams all that much, but I can see that maybe they have an appeal after all.

Red Devil
Pics show both the earlier CR4000s and the later Variobahns (2554-2559). There is/was a CR4000 in HO from Halling in the previous livery, supposedly another run was meant to be happening but not heard anything more about it http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/43352-croydon-tramlink-model-cr4000-depot/
Alan J Kirkman
Sadly nothing has materialised from the chap proposing a further batch or maybe a new version. Basically to get a rerun of the Halling model the order would need to come from the LT Museum who had the first batch made as they could use the LT Logo without paying small fortune in royalties they do not seem to want to do so despite how fast the first batch sold. The then Croydon Tramlink management wanted the first batch and were involved in setting it up, however things change. Now it would also be possible to do a Tramlink version on Hallings Variobahn body shell but all those problems arise. I did actually show the Halling Variobahn to the staff on the Tramlink stand at the Festival of Model Tramways in Croydon in July but while interest was aroused that was all. The Bigbee Line
If you want a layout from boxes and have little space, the Kato tram system is very tempting. See thread http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/10252-kato-n-gauge-tram-system/
Alan J Kirkman
Not a 2EPB though is it No but having ridden and experienced the passenger levels on both an EPB between Wimbledon and Croydon and on Tramlink I think we know which the pasengers like! They're who matters!
RMweb Gold griffgriff Posted January 6, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 6, 2014 As a railway enthusiast and old fart I take exception to the fact that rail transport should be comfortable and popular.
