Stanway Brewery - OO/OO9 Brewery

I have glued the platform down to the baseboard and added a return wall to the end, painted in the same style. The ballasting is now all complete and tidied and my newest wagon, a 13T open, is put for reference. I have also done the bank behind the wall.

Hi all

Some pictures of my progress today, the platform on the other side has been painted and glued down and the base for the platform slabs has been laid on bracing between the platforms.

I have done a mock up using plasticard sheets of how it will look when done so you can get an idea of the sizes of the buildings and where they will go:

Smaller acrylic and enamel paint pots are trees and the glass ones at the end indicate a shed.

I have also done part of the shell of the end building - it is drying which is why there is selotape on it. This will have the other side added when I get time and will be faced with brick plasticard in which the arches and holes for the windows and doors will be cut - I am deciding the position and size of them at the moment which is why the holes are much too large.

Stanway Brewery will now be a dual OO/OO9 layout, with a small narrow gauge line moving barrels/sacks around on the platform. At the moment however, I have no working locos (I have 3 body shells but they are from a previous attempt a few years ago) and no proper track so I will need to get that.

I will use the Simplex locos I have been designing but I ma not sure about which wagons to use - any ideas?

As it is a brewery, a couple of vans or flat wagons would most likely have been used to transport the barrels around the site.

I was thinking using the chassis of Hudson tipper wagons as I have the plans for them.
