RSS Fetcher
When is a diorama a dilemma ?? I have now made a start on my 2010 layout challenge, but as I now consider myself a regular blogger, and the blog covers all my layouts I would like to keep some record here ?? So firstly here is a link to my 2010 layout thread The general idea is to create a G scale indoor layout in 8' x 20". I'm sure it has been done before, there is a very interesting article in one of last years Model Rail magazines about a layout called "Stainsby" The work in progres plans... http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w295/johntealon30/G%20scale%20indoors/gdock3.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w295/johntealon30/G%20scale%20indoors/gmicro2.jpg But these were just to test out some ideas This week I knocked up the baseboards, I copied the idea of a internal house door construction. A 36x18mm timber frame sandwiched between two sheets of 6mm plywood, glued and pined. It has made it very rigid but lightweight. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w295/johntealon30/G%20scale%20indoors/SDC15531.jpg Once this weekends Crewe Exhibition is over the On30 stuff will have a rest and this will be my main "shed time" Confused, bemused or intrigued, feel free to comment.
