Odd Lenz behaviour

Ahh, glad  it went well your worship.  Saved the cost of a Z21 too! :jester:

As you said before, this is the power of forums.  Excellent.

What was wrong with the curly cord by the way?

In the far gone days when I was a telephone engineer, this would have been logged as F.N.F.  Fault not found. I have a spare three metre lead which I pressed into service along with the excising three metre cord and they worked together. The last time I tried that combination, no joy.

When I tested the resealed box along with the offending curly cord, they both worked and no amount of pulling, pushing or twisting would make either fail.

I think I shall acquire a spare curly lead just to be on the safe side.

John.

As I've got Lenz and Multimaus I treated one of my Multimaus handsets to a curly Lenz lead with the DIN plug on one end. It was sold as an LH90 lead. I think the curly leads are rather sensible.

I really dislike those fault not found faults. My car had one over the summer, though it did eventually fail to completely dead which helped identify the problem quite nicely!
