Jaz
Thanks for keeping up with where you took the pictures. Whilst I am hint...hint...hinting....If you notice any good modelling reference on the sides of the tracks. Unusual or old wagons, or buildings, or vintage rail track paraphernalia. This might be of interest, (not necessarily on this thread or course because it is your train spotting thread. Just a thought. Whilst you are out there. Jack374
Thanks Jaz, I have some already, so I'll go through the archives and pick them up, but when I'm out I always take (seemingly pointless) pictures of trackside bits! Jack.
Jack374
Evening, Had a great day out at Carlisle yesterday, so here's the pics.... Firstly as I arrived there was a DRS charter in P1, TnT'd by 37425 'Sir Robert McAlpine/Concrete Bob' and 37405. This was a bashers tour of the freight lines around Carlisle, in celebration of 40 years of Carlisle Power box. They were showing off the headboard that was put on 405. Then to Kingmoor, where there were a few locos on shed, and some coal workings before 37682 + 37688 (aptly named) 'Kingmoor TMD' arrived with some ISO boxes from Sellafield. Back to the station and 56087 arrived on the logs, then 60009 Union of South Africa arrived from 'The Cross' with 'The Hadrian - 2' charter. 47237 was on the rear. DRS' 57010 and 37601 'Class 37 Fifty' arrived with more nuclear matter from Sellafield. Finally, on the way home I saw BTP 57307 'Lady Penelope' was stabled in Preston. Enjoy! Jack.
