RMweb Premium Claude_Dreyfus Posted March 5, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 5, 2014 It is a pity that NHK went over to HD-only a couple of years ago...my ten year old television can no longer receive it... They have often had some interesting programs, not just rail-related...I was a big fan of Nihongo Quick Lesson (although the useless Mr K was deeply annoying), particularly Takeo Fuijikura's Kanjiyama Mime (obvious bearing in mind my layout's name and my avatar). Gentle Journeys was also an entertaining way to spend 15 minutes or so...deeply cheesy, but harmless pleasant; basically it was Japanese version of ITV/Meridian's Country Ways.
