Bob831
Hi, I'm about to build an Ian Kirk 'porthole' brake 3rd and noticed in Paul Bartlett's EXCELLENT Severn Valley photo shoot that, as well as the guard's duckout, there's actually a window in the end wall! A complete revelation to me, but I'm sure that I can cut such an aperture. What I need to know, from someone who's a lot closer to Kidderminster than me, is whether this window is present on both sides. Any help appreciated. Thanks Bob
Ian Kirk
Hi Bob, The answer is yes. There were two windows in the brake end. In fact there should have been a bit of paper with the instructions of a full size end with these windows marked on. best wishes, Ian
