davep101
Hiya all, Still very new to this, I've purchased my second sound fitted loco, another czech grumpy, now this one seems a little loud compared to the other , so much so the horn tone sounds distorted. I've got a roco lok mouse DCC system, now can I alter the cv volume setting with my setup..is there a way of doing this, I've studied my manuals, but at a bit of a loss...any replies gratefully received. davep101
Can you alter them with a dynamis?
corax67
Indeed you can alter the CV with a Dynamis: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/44397-changing-cvs-on-the-dynamis/ There is a rather handy video clip as well as a written walk-through. If you can supply the exact model of the loco you have then it might be possible to determine if it's a Zimo or LokSound and tell you which CV controls the volume. squeaky
If it is a factory fitted roco sound chip they are usually Zimo, in which case you need CV266 which is usually set to 100, I set mine to 35. I think the manufacturer code for Zimo is
