Catweasel
A neighbour had thrown out a computer desk. Nothing fancy, steel tube legs and an MDF top. Been looking at it from afar, then the light went on. Went to have a look at it and the keyboard tray was on the usual runners. 5 minutes with a screwdriver and I was holding the traverser for my layout in my hand. Sorted and saved a couple of bob in the process.
RMweb Premium Ray H Posted March 24, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 24, 2014 You may find that the shelf tilts when more than half way out. This could upset any alignment. Otherwise, well done.
Catweasel
The shelf only goes back and forth. I'll have to adapt of course, but the hard bits done.

Indeed, but I had something similar that slid out and tipped slightly downward at the front (and up at the back) when it was pulled more than halfway out. In the end I had to discard it because I couldn't get the alignment right.
Campaman
I have one under our carport that the wife threw out when she got a new one, the keyboard tray on it slides out smoothly then goes over a bump to lock it in the out position so as long as I don't use the full length of the slide it would work ok.
