modelman14 Posted April 3, 2014 Share Posted April 3, 2014 Hello folks. Before I start to paint the O scale Heljan Deltic I want to make sure everything is right. I`ll be using acrylic and enamel. What I want to know is how to correctly prepare the surfaces. There was a little oil around the fuel tanks and bogie frames,so I need to ensure there is no greasy residue left. I am going to airbrush weather the bogies and fuel tanks with acrylic,what is the best sealer/varnish to use(matt)? Thanks all.... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Torr Giffard LSWR 1951-71 Posted April 3, 2014 Share Posted April 3, 2014 ...lighter fluid will degrease the surfaces and fine wet/dry paper will key them up for taking the paint. Thin the paints well and apply in several thin layers. Dave Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
