Quarryscapes
What was the sizing of these? I understand the regular ones were 2' 1 3/4" x 9 1/2" with 5" lettering. I imagine the numbers would have been the same size and therefore the length scaled to suit the amount of numbers, but what about the little GWR, it's letter size and effect on plate height? Castle
Hi There Quarryscapes, If you contact the Great Western Trust at Didcot you will find that they have quite a few original absorbed engine plates in the collection so they are probably best placed to give you the definitive answer measured of the real thing. You can contact them via the link in this page here: http://www.didcotrailwaycentre.org.uk/guide/relics.html If there are any issues or a lack of response then PM me and I will sort it out for you. I hope this helps! All the best, Castle
