Access to footbridges at Acton Bridge

Recommended Posts

I have a couple of days off in the next couple of weeks and I was thinking of taking myself down to Acton Bridge for a spot of train-watching. There are two footbridges to the south of the station. Judging from Google maps, both of them are on public footpaths; but on Streetview the one nearest to the station appears to be accessible only through a metal gate. Can anyone tell me if that's actually a public footpath or is it private property?

The more southerly footbridge definitely looks to be on a public footpath, so if need be I'd walk down there; but at the moment I'm just planning out my day (although the weather forecast for Friday, which is my first day off, looks a bit iffy; so I might put it off for a few days).
