cary hill
As the question says - what is the purpose of this wagon? Is it a Match Truck for the crane in the background or something else entirely?
RMweb Premium HillsideDepot Posted May 29, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 29, 2014 It looks as if it's the jib-runner for the crane in the background.
Miss Prism
Definitely Crane Match Truck, diagram L4 I think. Note the safety chains.
Castle
Hi All, Snap! http://www.didcotrailwaycentre.org.uk/wagons/C205/c205.html The one on the crane at Didcot is a slightly earlier L3 (I suspect Miss P is right here though in the initial diagnosis) but it and the crane looks very similar all round! Wouldn't it be cool if this was No. 205?! No way of telling unfortunately... Brassmasters do the kit in 4mm scale and the instruction sheet is available to download here: http://www.brassmasters.co.uk/Downloads/Match%20truck%20Instructions.pdf It has some great information in it and some further pictures of No. 205 too! I hope this helps! All the best, Castle
