IMF2000
Hi, I am investigating the use of an ESU based DCC solution for Computer Automation. I understand that ESU have Railcom detectors that will feedback track block utilisation to the Command Station and through that to the PC software such as JMRI or Railroad & Co. Question I have is what method can be used with ESU to get the position of Points back into the CS / software? I have seen a solution for Lenz systems but I am unsure about ESU. I am specifically interested in combination with something like a DCC Concepts Cobalt unit with or without DCC decoder built on. Kind Regards,
two tone green
The ESU Switchpilot has Railcom built in and reports the point position back to the ECoS and then onto the software. You can use the built on switches on the Cobalts to do this.
IMF2000
Thanks. This thread really helped me: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/48003-esu-switch-pilot/ Think I need to be investigating servos vs cobalts.
