jhock
Hi all, as I have to scrap the exsisitng layout due to a move around at home I need a little advise. The layout is going to be set in the USA, I want to try for Indiana due to the stock I have, set in the present, with a short line theme and rural. The whole thing is on 2 boards 8' by 2' I have the following items I want to try and include: Lots of covered hoppers Wood chip hoppers Box cars Pulp wood cars and pulpwood truck I have put a lot of effort into building! An odd mix I know. My initial ideas are: Pulp wood loading siding - just a muddy open space where the truck can load the pulp wood cars with it's hiab. Feedmill Woodchip fired power station And that is where I get stuck, so ideas needed please!
shortliner
Sounds something like Wheelock Mill which appeared in RM and whose owner [Doctor Qinn]is a member on here Here is a suggestion although you have more space

I am trying to research to see if all those industries are viable in Indiana, the feed mill certainly is!

Also there might not be at present but it seems there will be a woodchip burning power station Milltown Power station if the locals agree to it.
