PLD
'Blackpool Plastics' was one of several reincarnations of the ex Hadfields kits. The initial range consisted of: Balloon Open Top Balloon (Princess Alice) Vambac Railcoach Standard (Open or Enclosed Balcony) Dreadnaught Some time later, an open Boat Car was added. I'm not sure whether they are currently in production but I think East Lancs models has some stock. They are fairly stright forward to build, and not bad representations of the prototypes. The main minus point is that the sides are rather thick, and some components such as trolley poles, trolley towers and lifeguards would benefit from replacement with finer brass alternatives. Alan J Kirkman
The ex Hadfield's kits are not currently in production ELMTS has some stocks and what parts were left. Some of which will be used in conjunction with home resin cast parts to release specific kits of preserved trams. The Moulds have been acquired by another well known Blackpool enthusiast and are safely stored (About 3/4 ton of steel) and are being cleaned and will over the next few years be got back into production. .
