RSS Fetcher
Hi All This phrase crops up now and again but what does it mean and why for people use it? "Normal Viewing Distance" It seems to infer that something will be viewed from a few feet away but is that the case? I assume that it comes from exhibitions mainly (although that doesn't stop people with no intention of exhibiting anything from using it too) but even at shows with barriers it is unusual not to be able to get to inside of a foot away. Yes the barrier may be there but mot people lean on them and their eyes are much closer. However the most common view of a model these days, the view most see is on forums and in magazines. What is normal viewing distance then? A few feet? More like a few inches and often images are presented as larger than life. There is no mistaking that the term is used in an almost appologetic way. An excuse to not to something rather than a reason to go that little bit further. Think about what normal viewing distance really is and ask yourself, does that mean you should go further than your eyes see or use it as an excuse to accept something you know isn't all you can make it?
