RMweb Premium richierich Posted August 17, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 17, 2014 I was just looking at this rather tasty video about ESUs Class 66 / Class 77, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LUk1G25L9U and being reading about the operation of Class 66s in Germany. But just wondering where a good place to start would be to research into modelling Germany railways?
Allegheny1600
Link to our own German place; http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/forum/134-german-railways/ The English language German outline forum; http://germanrail.fr.yuku.com/directory#.U_Hn-qPgXGA (not as good as it used to be since one of it's main originators & contributors departed) A great H0 site in the German language; http://www.h0-modellbahnforum.de/ A high quality German language magazine site; http://www.eisenbahn-kurier.de/ Pretty good photo site; http://www.bahnbilder.de/name/bilder/hierarchie1/Deutschland.html Hope that's a start for you! Cheers, John E.
Neil_S_Wood
Just to add to that list that John provided there's also VGB who turn out a fair number of different publications including MIBA and Eisenbahn Journal. They also have some archive stuff on DVD rom which is good value such as the Landerbahn one (pre-grouping). All German language but good for the photos even if you don't speak German.
