paulprice
I know they are not very accurate but I have a soft spot for a few of the older Farish models, especially the 8F, due to the size of my previous layouts haulage power was never an issue. The problem I have now, is that with a ten foot layout train lengths are a lot larger than they use to be.My older Farish 8F models are more like 1F in the pulling power stakes, I guess I need to add more weight, but I need some advice has anyone else overcome this problem?? Dr Al
Check first that the loco drivers aren't being lifted off the track fractionally by either the tender or the front bogie, and also check the tender pickups do not have excess drag on the wheels - both these can cause a lot of loss of pulling power.
