JaymzHatstand
After a good search of the archives, and not finding anything (so apologies if I've missed anything) I've been wondering what, if anything can be done to the streamlined Duchess to produce a better looking model. I've got the initial issue of 6225 and impressive a loco as it is, I'd like to tweak it if possible. Things like winged lamps would help I suspect, if anyone produces such a thing. Is it worth replacing the bogie wheels with Gibson ones? I intend to paint the wheel rims to represent the polished appearance of the real ones (not the reads of course though!) Any suggestions will be greatly received, along with any examples that people have done already. Cheers J
richard i
I cut out the coal bunker and modeled it half full and had the coal pusher modeled, I fitted a fall plate and the lightest of weathering into the panel lines and that was about it. it really did not need very much. Steffi_C
This topic is also being discussed here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/90900-Hornby-streamlined-duchess-what-improvements-can-be-made/ It would be better if the two threads were merged. JaymzHatstand
Yeah, my bad, sorry! I made this one and then thought it would be better placed in the help section but I wasn't sure how to delete it from in here! If any of the mods wish to merge and remove this one, please do!
