gazmanjack
Question...?? Has anyone fitted Kadee couplers to a Hornby Terrier ?? If you have, can you please explain the your method ? Will the chassis need modifying to fit the coupler box/mounting ? Cheers, Gary.
RMweb Premium BR60103 Posted October 21, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 21, 2014 If the Hornby Terrier is the same as the Dapol one, the couplers are filled with a screw. I drilled a hole in a Kadee #20 in the triangular recess, clipped off the tails, and screwed it in place.
TomJ
In a loco that small - carefully would be my thought!! Sorry no practical advice to add
RMweb Premium BR60103 Posted October 23, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 23, 2014 Here's what I did. Again, it's an old Dapol Terrier. If you cut the tails off the Kadees carefully, the end will limit swinging.
gazmanjack
Thankyou 60103, the pics are very helpful. I'll get out this weekend and pick up a pair of No.20s and apply your method. Cheers, Gary.
RMweb Premium BR60103 Posted October 24, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 24, 2014 I hope they're clear enough -- best I can do until Kadee produce their couplings in red.
