Tase
As part of More4's Extreme series tonight's programme was about extreme railways! Counting down the worlds 10 most extreme. Well worth a watch if you can although some I would not consider particularly extreme. Platform 61 at NY Grand Central for one! Next showing Saturday at 18.50 or on demand if you prefer. RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted November 25, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2014 I saw the last 7-8 minutes of it - I wasn't over sorry to have missed the rest if that bit was typical as I would hardly call a pack of idiots dancing around on a train roof anything at all to do with an 'extreme railway'. Extreme stupidity - yes, but 'extreme railway' - no.
AMJ
There are many extreme civil engineering feats that should have been shown. It looked like the sort of hyped up dross some satellite channels show. Extreme in my book should include lines from the Guinness book, bridges, tunnels, altitudes and gradient. I think the Indian reckon that Mumbai has more people on a train than the one's shown, I know as I have experienced the rush hour.
