time for a new start

Well with a new year approaching fast I decided that I would make a start on a new layout project. I have spent a few months working out dimensions for the scenic part, I've designed the track plan, I'm working out some ideas for buildings at the moment. I aquired some timber a couple of months ago from a very good nieghbour.( its amazing how much timber you can get from an old devan bed base). So once the timber was ready I couldn't resist, I decided to build the frames and while I was at it I decided to put in the main power buss. I thought if I did it this way it would be easier, I have also added power feeds from both sides of each board so I can connect the DCC controller to any board any side (is that called design clever).

This also means I dont have to build the whole layout up to test it while I work on it.

Not a million miles from me. All the best with the new layout. But wheres the track plan??? Or if you've already decided all that shouldn't you post this as a new layout thread??
