Greengiant
Hi this may not be in the right place but bear with me I'm moving back to 7mm N/G from 00 for a number of reasons anyway!!I'm looking for a loco body kit something that would fit on a 00 RTR chassis (V1 etc') any info" would be a big help thank you Smallbrook is a good place to start: http://www.smallbroo...1118902437.html Backwoods Miniatures make some fabulous kits to fit the lovely Bachmann ON30 stock: http://www.backwoods...com/0n3kits.htm These are some of the Backwoods ones I have built. And this is a Boulder Valley Models kit for the Bachmann railtruck available here: http://www.bouldervalleymodels.com/ If you are not already a member the 7mmnga is worth joining, lots of advice and very good magazine issued 6 times a year. http://www.7mmnga.org.uk/
Ursa Major
Smallbrook is a good place to start: http://www.smallbroo...1118902437.html I was going to suggest Smallbrook when I read the original post, but beaten to it. Bashing secondhand OO scale models can be fun though. Small diesels can be made out of cheap continental/American shunters. If you don't want to build your own cabs Unit Models do a nice kit to convert the Bachmann Plymouth diesel to O scale. http://www.unitmodel...products_id=307 Don't be put off by the "Sold Out" marker, if you read the text you'll see that Dave makes them to order. Even easier is the Bachmann gas mechanical, ready to run in On30.
