RMweb Premium Neil Posted December 19, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 19, 2014 I may be missing something, but I can't find anywhere to start a general workbench thread. When I go to 'layout and workbench content' I see that I can post in the layouts part but the workbench bit just lists blogs, (which in the format offered here, I dislike as a viewer) and it appears as though I don't have the option to start a new thread anyway. I've put some of my narrow gauge stuff in that particular specialist group, but my interests range far wider. As quite a bit of what I do is interconnected I'd like to run one workbench thread into which I could drop all the different bits and pieces that cross my cutting mat. I'd quite like to streamline my approach to posting, so that I have as few threads as possible which I add stuff to regularly. Any suggestions? RMweb Gold martin_wynne Posted December 19, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 19, 2014 Hi Neil, Perhaps putting all your stuff in one topic is frowned on? It means the topic becomes you-centric instead of subject-centric for everyone to join in. The blogs are intended for what you want: topic -- lots of people talk about the same thing blog -- the same person talks about lots of things Which would be fine, if the blog format on here wasn't so impenetrable and difficult to follow.
