Tempfix Rich Papper Posted January 10, 2015 Tempfix Share Posted January 10, 2015 Hello. Does anyone know of any models (or layouts for that matter) of the RER? I have an elderly Jouef z5600 which I keep meaning to detail - although was secretly hoping Vitrains would do a new one - but other than that? Thanks. RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted January 11, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 11, 2015 RER C/D runs double-deck emus which may be modellable using the Jouef or Lima push-pull carriages. Other than that, you only have the inox units that you have identified which ran on RER C. As ever, suburban units not a popular subject. Edit to add that I am thinking Jouef may have made emu version briefly. Must look it up.
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted January 11, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 11, 2015 I don't recall ever seeing a specifically RER layout. About 30 years ago, Keith Harrison had St Maur which was set in Paris suburb.
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted January 11, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 11, 2015 Doh! Got my numbers mixed up. 5600 are the dd units. Your other choice is X5100, rather earlier Jouef.
Tempfix Rich Papper Posted January 11, 2015 Author Tempfix Share Posted January 11, 2015 I think it might be possible to make a Z5300 inox set using the Jouef RIO inox coaches, but I have the sneaky feeling the coaches should be a bit shorter.
