I couldn't find this listed so I have started a topic and added to the calendar.

This is not an exhibition...nor is it an open day...its...well think of an exhibition with less layouts, less traders and lots of demonstration stands where you are encouraged to "have a go".

Times:11:00 to 16:00
Place:Cornerstone Centre at St John’s Church,Address:Camphill Road, West Byfleet, Surrey KT14 6EH

Admission charges: EMGS and Scalefour members – free; public - £2.50. & bring your apron.

 

Car parking on site is limited, but there is a public car park next door.

The venue is a 5minute walk from West Byfleet Station.

Layouts: Great Bardfield (P4) and the EMGS Test Track.

TonyHill – scenery: a chance to get your hands dirty, so bring an apron!

JonathanBuckie - Laser Cutting technology

TonyWitts – Simple layout wiring/ “The Bouncer” signal operation

RayHodson – resistance soldering (morning) & tree making (afternoon)

DavidBridges - AlexJackson couplings (morning) & etched coach construction (afternoon)

TonySullivan - Track & Turnout construction (morning)

DavidHawkins – Architectural modelling (afternoon)

The EMGS stand will be in attendance for collection of pre-ordered goods from the trade list, also membership matters.

Catering: sandwiches to order, home made cakes, tea, coffee etc.

It's nice to see the two societies working together. I think that CK would be pleased.

Out of respect to the memory of Chris I wish I could get there, but I'm involved in the St. Neots show (with an EM layout), so will have to give this a miss. :-(

I shall attend.  Chris Kedgley was a gentleman and did much to encourage co-operation between the EMGS and S4Soc.  Members of both societies will be admitted free.

 

To waverers I say this: no-one is too old to learn and no-one should be too embarrassed or proud to turn down a helping hand.  Whether there is such a thing as a stupid question remains to be seen ...
