Glorious NSE
Was listening to the radio in the car last night and it was mentioned that a new rail franchise for Devon & Cornwall local services has been suggested by Our Glorious Leaders - one report is here: http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/Chancellor-Prime-Minister-unveil-6-4billion-plan/story-25923241-detail/story.htmlSeems a bit out of the blue to me, and i'm not really sure why it would be a good thing* - any thoughts from the gallery**?(*The ability to paint your 150s a lovely shade of purple doesn't count )(** Beyond "can you tell there's an election coming?") lapford34102
(** Beyond "can you tell there's an election coming?") Sadly think that's all there is to it, a bit of election flummery to get the attention of the electorate. There might well be some logic to it but then you could apply the same to the former Wessex services centred on Bristol. Wonder if FGW knew about this. Cornish Triang Paul
First I heard was the news report. Too small to be profitable let alone the practical side.....
