david130653
Firstly apologies if this is the wrong forum or that this item has been mentioned previously. Just come across this BBC Archive page which has a lot of their railway videos on them. There are some really historic films and sound recordings here. What is nice is that on films like ???The Four Steamers??? there is no background music, just long periods where all you can hear are the locos themselves. Some pages have no sound at all though, e.g. ???A Dog??™s Day Out???, which is still a good film for the detail it shows. http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/steamtrains/index.shtml

CullingworthGNR
That was the one I was after, I had a well-worn video of this some 20 years ago - I could remember it all so well as I watched it. When I was 9 we recreated this journey to Kyle with my Dad, one of my favourite trips ever. Thanks so much for letting me relive lots of childhood memories!
