Multiple identity account
Hey,Has anyone used NWSL's HO scale staton drive units? How reliable, robust and powerful are they? Any feedback about these is most welcome.http://shop.osorail.com/category.sc?categoryId=60Cheers!AJ
Andy Reichert
Stanton Drives. I'm not sure if you can get them with the larger UK wheel sizes and wheelbases, but they are used a lot here in the USA and have a good reputation. Andy
Multiple identity account
Thanks,So you don't get staton drive units with 12mm wheels? But aren't they for HO scale American models anyways (which I think do have 12mm wheels)?Jeff.

I haven't checked on the full range options, as I'm working on my own drives for a whole bunch of brass US interurbans. US freight diesels typically use 40" wheels, USA interurbans 36" and 33 ". That's 11.7 mm, 10.5mm and 9.6 mm. Those are all too small for say a UK EMU or DMU which I think are up in the 14 mm range.
Multiple identity account
Hi,11.7mm I can easily use. 0.3mm is not much of a compromise. Andy do you have a website? I'd love to find out more of your drive units.I basically need a Bo-Bo and 2 types of Co-Co bogies....Jeff.
Andy Reichert
Nothing on my site yet, as I'm still developing some of the eventual parts. But you will find some early info on my Progress on my new Amfleet/BART/DC Metro Truck design - USA ... thread.
Andy Reichert
There is a new gearbox update on my Progress on my new Amfleet/BART/DC Metro Truck design - USA ... thread. To avoid duplication, I'm presuming I should hold off having a separate thread here. At least until I have something that is not directly connected to US modelling.
