millerhillboy Posted February 28, 2015 Share Posted February 28, 2015 Just acquired myself an N gauge society LMS inspection saloon in maroon so was looking to customise it for the waverley route. Just wondering if anyone can offer any guidance on any regular inspection saloons on the route. I realise it's probably a big ask as it's a bit of a niche subject but maybe if anyone knew if carlisle or Edinburgh had an allocated saloon during that era then I could take a leap of faith and go for that. Bill Jamieson Posted March 1, 2015 Share Posted March 1, 2015 There was certainly an inspection saloon based at Edinburgh but all I can say about it is that it turned up on an annual basis at Duns, normally with St Margaret's 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46462 in charge.
