The Western Model Railway Society (WMRS) based in Acton, West London, will celebrate 80 of life next March, 2016. We still have one founder member alive, Stan Simmonds, our Club President. I would like to know two things please. 1) Apart from the Model Railway Club, Manchester MRS and Wimbledon MRC, whom I know are older than us, do any other clubs pre-date March 1936? I know that some clubs may have changed their name, we were a Hornby at inception. 2) Does any club still have a founder member still alive, who pre-date us?
