EMD GA-8

Hi,

I'm developing a CADD model of an Electro-Motive Division GA-8 for 3D printing.  The GA-8 was a lightweight, 4-axle locomotive build by EMD in the late '50s and early '60s for the export market.

The attached renderings show the progress that I've made so far.  But I have some questions regarding the details along the top of the locomotive, especially the "hump" atop the long hood.  I was wondering if anyone on this forum had any good photos showing the roof of the locomotive.

Any information, photos, or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Damin.

The best views I have probably won't give the perspective you're after or add to what is already available as images on the web.  Unfortunately all my shots were taken at ground level.

First, F.C. Coahuila y Zacatecas no. 802 as preserved at the railway museum at Puebla in 1996.

Now a couple of locos supplied to FC Sarmiento, absorbed into Ferrocarriles Argentinos and seen at Buenos Aires termini in 1992.
