I was born in Lake and still have some fond but hazy childhood memories of the station as it was back then in the sixties. I have been searching the web but no real luck finding any early pictures. ANT Posted April 22, 2015 Share Posted April 22, 2015 Hello David I guess that you are after photos of the prototype, but to give you a flavour, below are a couple of photos of Phillip Hutchings layout that he has produced in 3mm scale. It depicts the station as it would have been in 1952/3 on a typical summers Friday. All photos were taken by Phillip Hutchings. Some great modelling carried out there. I've just phoned my cousin who now lives in Ryde, she has offered to do a bit of rummaging for me through family album collections that she has, also ask our other cousins still living there to see what they have too.
