katwigan
I could do with a small paint roller to paint the name boards, as the background is red which I have sprayed now, but the lettering is white, raised from the background which would be a swine to paint by hand. I need to make one of these: Could you not use an ink pad type of thing, I am sure my wife has one for her greeting card making efforts. I am sure that several coats would work. meurglys3
Well a weird thing happened. My dad was rather taken with the Suttons class 24s on the layout and decided he wanted a couple. So, as he has no layout, some green locos have appeared on Hope Springs. :-) He wants me to name them after him and my late mum, so I have ordered nameplates from Narrow Planet, which may take a few weeks to arrive. Meanwhile, I have done a lot of work on the incline end of the layout which I will post some pics of when more is done. Needs ballasting etc. The shot of all five 24s outside the depot has had a bit of Photoshoppery....
meurglys3
My dad owns two SLW class 24s which live on my layout. He wanted them named for himself and my late mum. I ordered nameplates from Narrow Planet based on the style of an existing named class 24 "Brian Robertson" based at KWVR I think. He is very happy with the result. Here are some pics.
