RMweb Premium Gary H Posted May 17, 2015 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 17, 2015 In the past when fitting sound decoders and hard wiring them in the loco, I have on occasion wired 2 LED's to one function output. Is this OK for the function output? Or should I really give each LED its own function wire? I figured it would be OK due to the low current draw of the LED. MiDAS
Hi You should have no problems to use 1 function output, I run smoke units off one output and also the multiple LED's on another. V4 will go into panic mode if you overload them very often showing your LED's flashing as a result. This may occur if a fan motor stalls, yet another piece of equipment that has a larger current draw than a couple of LED's
